Intro to Winter Camping: Brave the Cold

Service Description
Coming soon! A beginner-friendly overnight designed to help you experience winter camping safely and comfortably—no prior experience needed. We’ll camp in a campground with our cars nearby, so you can ease into winter camping in a supportive environment. You’ll learn how to set up camp in the snow, stay warm with proper layering and gear, and experience the quiet beauty of the outdoors in winter. We’ll also head out for a short snowshoe or ski, share a warm meal, and settle in for a cozy night in camp. Itinerary 1 Night Experience Saturday 12pm – Sunday 10am Saturday 12:00 pm Arrival 1:00 pm Welcome, introductions, and intentions for the experience 2:00 pm Set up camp in the snow (tents, sleeping pads, sleeping bags) 3:00 pm Short snowshoe or ski (2–3 miles) 4:00 pm Fire-building skills 4:30 pm Prepare and cook dinner together 6:00 pm Campfire, conversation, and wind down for the evening Overnight in camp Sunday 7:00 am Coffee and breakfast 8:00 am Break down camp and group reflection 10:00 am Departure
Cancellation Policy
All classes take place rain or shine. Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance will receive a full refund, minus a $25 non-refundable administrative fee. Cancellations made 7–13 days in advance will receive a 50% refund, minus the $25 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable and not eligible for credit. At our discretion, a partial credit may be issued toward a future class. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions (such as thunderstorms or high winds), the class will be cancelled and participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
