Service Description
🌄 Women’s Participant-Led Wilderness Experience – Pharaoh Lakes Wilderness, Adirondacks This is a participant-led expedition where each woman rotates through leadership roles—planning sections of the journey, making decisions for the group, and practicing real-world backpacking leadership in a supported environment. This experience is ideal for women who have completed a beginner backpacking overnight or have some prior backpacking exposure and are ready for the next step. This Experience is Designed to Help You: -Build real confidence making decisions outdoors -Learn how to lead yourself and others in a backcountry setting -Strengthen judgment, communication, and group awareness -Transition from “I can follow directions” to “I can handle this” -Gain comfort spending extended time in wilderness environments 🥾 Trip Overview Duration: 2 nights / 3 days Location: Pharaoh Lakes Wilderness, Adirondacks, NY Distance: ~20 miles total (primarily moderate, mostly flat terrain) Day 1 — Into the Backcountry Meet at trailhead at 12:00 PM for gear check, food distribution, and orientation Begin hike into Pharaoh Lakes (~6 miles) Set up camp and establish group systems Dinner, fire, and introduction to leadership rotation structure Evening reflection and rest Day 2 — Leadership in Action Morning group planning session (participant-led) Rotate leadership roles for the day’s decisions and activities Day hike to Pharaoh Mountain (~moderate terrain) Return to camp for rest, dinner, and evening reflection Group debrief around leadership experiences Day 3 — Closing the Expedition Morning pack-up and camp breakdown Final hike out (~6 miles) Closing circle: reflection, takeaways, and integration of learning Expedition completion by 12:00 PM

Cancellation Policy
All classes take place rain or shine. Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance will receive a full refund, minus a $25 non-refundable administrative fee. Cancellations made 7–13 days in advance will receive a 50% refund, minus the $25 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable and not eligible for credit. At our discretion, a partial credit may be issued toward a future class. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions (such as thunderstorms or high winds), the class will be cancelled and participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
